How can I find out the price of an item?

All items listed on our website should have a retail price in U.S. Dollars, in addition to dimensions and description of the item.

What kind of guarantee to I get with my purchase?

The Word Family’s reputation is based on over 50 years of dealing in fine antiques. Every item is fully described on our invoice and guaranteed to be as described.

Can I receive an item on approval?

We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. You may take the opportunity to see an item in your home before making a final decision. Upon receipt of an item on approval, you will have 7 days to make your decision and notify us. If you decide to return the item, we will refund the full purchase price.

Do you ship to clients outside the U.S.?

We ship to clients all over the world and are happy to assist you with packing and shipping arrangements.

Where do you advertise?

We have advertised in Veranda Magazine and Southern Accents.

What is the size of your entire inventory?

William Word Fine Antiques has one of the largest, if not the largest, inventories of fine European antiques to be found in the Southeast. The thousands of items in our diverse collection are attractively displayed in room-settings throughout our 16,000 sq. foot Miami Circle gallery. More important than the size, is the quality of our inventory. Each object is carefully selected and epitomizes the best in design and workmanship.

Do you buy furniture and accessories from individuals?

We are always interested in new acquisitions. Many of our finest things are purchased privately. If you have something you want to sell, please contact us via email. Clear photographs and dimensions of the item on offer are helpful.

Can I get a condition report on the furniture I purchase?

We are happy to send you a detailed condition report on any item before completing the transaction. As further assurance, we can arrange for you to see an item in your home before making a final decision. (See answer to question 2 ‘approval’, above.)

Do you only carry European antiques?

Our collection includes all that one would expect to find in a grand country home. Over generations a family would have accumulated, in addition to English and Continental furniture; fine pieces of Oriental and American origins, and a wide selection of decorative objects and art.

Will you help me find an object if you don't have it in your inventory?

We will be happy to let you know when we receive an item such as the one you are looking for. To receive notice of new acquisitions, join our preferred client list.

How do you use personal information gathered on this site?

We gather individual customer information to improve the content of our web site, to provide services you request, and for internal marketing and promotional purposes. The information you supply lets us do business with you and allows us to customize your experience using our services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

Do you work with the Trade?

We take pleasure in working with Interior Designers, and have been a source of beautiful furniture and accessories for prominent Southern designers since the 1970s, and more recently those of international recognition.
